Quantum Effects Academy

As part of the Quantum Effects program, the physics education team led by Prof. Dr. Ronny Nawrodt offered exciting workshops on both days of the fair for school classes from Year 10 upwards as part of the Quantum Effects Academy, specially tailored to the needs of secondary school students as future users and teachers.

How do you eavesdrop on space with modern quantum physics? In the hunt for gravitational waves, the students were able to set up and adjust a Michelson interferometer with all its components from scratch during the 60-minute workshops after a brief introduction. More than 200 students took advantage of the opportunity to explore the challenging subject of quantum physics in a total of eight workshops.
